Thai Stretch is based on the principles of correcting the energy balance through the body and is a technique that uses passive-assisted stretching to provide the recipient with a total body stretch. This purposefully slow practice is a combination of movements, stretches and acupressure that provides a relaxing yet invigorating session of energy work and tissue rejuvenation. This floor-based practice is performed on a comfortable Thai Mat and is highly effective at treating problems with connective tissue, muscles and tendons. The combination of stretching and gentle pressure relaxes and lengthens tight muscles, reduces stiffness and knots in the connective tissue that can cause pain.
